ABOUT SHEDONISM 💋:
Shedonism is a week-long art exhibition presented by queer artist Emmy Tran, running from April 20 to April 27 at Three Dollar Bill. This immersive show celebrates the self-indulgent femme and their unapologetic sapphic artistry, all while raising funds for Rainbow Railroad, a nonprofit dedicated to helping at-risk LGBTQI+ individuals find safety worldwide.

ABOUT EMMY TRAN 🎨:
Emmy Tran (She/They) is a self-taught visual artist based in Toronto. Her art is a creative response to her lived experiences, centering community, queer/sapphic joy, and sex positivity. She specializes in acrylic paint, and her signature style frequently explores the human form using vibrant colours.

Born and raised Vietnam, Emmy immigrated to Canada in 2017 in the pursuit of liberated creative expression. She dedicates her work to elevating voices that are often missing in visual arts and uses her platform to fill in representation gaps for her 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.

ABOUT RAINBOW RAILROAD 🏳️‍🌈:
Rainbow Railroad is a global not-for-profit organization that helps at-risk LGBTQI+ people get to safety worldwide. Based in the United States and Canada, we’re an organization that helps LGBTQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. In a time when there are more displaced people than ever, LGBTQI+ people are uniquely vulnerable due to systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia. These factors either displace them in their own country or prevent them from escaping harm.

ABOUT DJ SHANNYN HILL 🪩:
DJ Shannyn Hill (she/her) is a versatile, open format DJ hailing from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Her deep love for music is heavily influenced by her father who would always play 60s and 70s reggae, soul and disco music. Her style and experience spans from shaking club walls, to corporate events, commanding major stages with artists, and providing the in-game vibes for major league bask. From “bedroom DJ” to captivating for thousands at festivals, stadiums, and arenas, DJ Shannyn Hill's 4 year career is marked by significant milestones, including her historic role as the in-game DJ of the first-ever WNBA Game in Canada in May 2023, and performing at Toronto's first Rolling Loud music festival in 2022.

ABOUT RITA ANN’TIQUE 💃:
Rita Ann'tique is a queer burlesque artist, performer and producer originally from
Calgary, AB, who now calls Tkaronto her home. After completing her BFA in dance, Rita
found her love for stripping and has been teasing and teaching all over the country
since 2017, being lauded as “some of the inspiring talent flourishing in the Canadian
dance community,” - David Silverberg, Now Magazine. Currently, Rita holds the title of
1st runner up (Princess), as well as ‘Best Duo’ (with duet partner and art spouse
Newfound Lad) at the 2024 the Imperial Burlesque Canada Competition, Montréal, QC.
In 2024, Rita was voted “Top 5 Burlesque Performer in
Canada” and is best known to seduce any audience with her comedy, class, and of
course, her ass.
